One of the most important questions we will ask you is, “What is your goal?” That goal is different for everyone. Perhaps you are a mother whose goal is to no longer have shoulder pain when she holds and nurses her newborn. Perhaps you are overweight and your goals are to no longer be exhausted after climbing a flight of steps or have leg pain. Perhaps you have had both knees replaced and your goal is to return to playing a racquet sport. Perhaps you are a long distance runner whose goal is to run her first half marathon.

All of these goals are unique to the individual. Our Doctor of Physical Therapy will partner with you and design a program that is specific to your needs and goals. During this process, you will learn how to set short term and long term goals. Your physical therapist is here to advise you during the rough patches, revise your program when needed, and see you through to your goal. If you need to cry, yell in frustration or enthusiasm- that’s okay because we’ve been there too.
